More than ever, it seems, it’s important to share opinions that are backed by facts, be willing to revisit and update what you thought you knew before, and be inspired to seek out more information about something you learned anew. Practitioners in the medical professions have always done this, and it’s my hope that This Changed My Practice .com (TCMP) will continue to be your partner in this endeavour. I hope that our readers (and authors) find TCMP’s unique combination of opinion, along with facts to back that position, remains a valuable resource.

One of the most interesting aspects of running This Changed My Practice is the truly varied range of articles that our authors post. For example, in 2018, articles on the practice of mindfulness, concussion management, and tips on vulvovaginal examination landed in the top 5 in four categories of “highest engagement,” “practice change,” “learning something new,” and “motivated to learn more.”

Article impact:

I’m continually thankful for our authors’ often enthusiastic response to article invitations, and our readers’ thoughtful, respectful discourse in the comments sections.

We’re always on the lookout for new articles, including evidence-based, practice-changing articles, but I’d also like to invite articles on physician/practitioner well-being, practice optimization tips, and even tips for improving financial health. We’re also seeking articles of relevance to rural practitioners. Please send ideas to feedback@thischangedmypractice.com.

Wishing everyone a healthy, happy and safe holiday! See you in 2019!
